Army National Guard
Army National Guard Description:
The (NJ) Army National Guard is the Land Component of the Organized Militia. The Commander-in-Chief of the New Jersey National Guard is the sitting governor. The Army Guard is made up mostly of citizen soldiers who hold civilian jobs during the week and assume military duties 1 weekend a month and two weeks a year. The Army Guards primary mission is to protect the citizens of NJ. From quelling riots and restoring order to responding to natural disasters. The Army Guard also has many complex missions. It’s soldiers have counter drug missions and the personnel and equipment for a Civil Support Team (heavy). A Civil Support team responds to Weapon of Mass Destruction Events.
When the NJ State Police Need Backup we are there. When the United States Army Needs Backup we are there!
